Facts about laser assisted fat loss

Is it true that there’s a solution out there that competes with lipo suction yet the treatments are non-invasive? How about a treatment for fat reduction that is painless and safe? Doctor-supervised and directed? The answer is yes to all the above. Today, there is a safe treatment for fat reduction that doesn’t involve tedious surgery and drugs. How can something like this be? Thanks to the LipoLaser, or laser assisted fat loss technology, patients are able to lose between 7 and 21 inches of fat in targeted areas in just a little over a month. The treatment is simple, safe and effective. The LipoLaser is a cold laser light or Low Level Laser Technology (LLLT for short), applied directly to the skin, which causes the fat cells to open up and release their fat contents. This is the same process that takes place when you exercise. The water, glycerol, and free fatty acids leave the cell, and your fat cell shrinks. There are no cutting or invasive procedures involved. LipoLaser’s low level, laser technology has been studied and used for over 30 years for many biomedical purposes.

How can chiropractic care help me?

Our Approach:

Chiropractic is a healthcare discipline that is centered on the role of the spine and central nervous system in maintaining good health, and leveraging the recuperative power of the body to heal itself naturally and efficiently. The practice of chiropractic focuses on the relationship between structure (of the spine) and function (as coordinated by the nervous system)and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health.

Chiropractors identify and correct the cause of health challenges which arise when misalignments of the vertebrae (the small bones that make up the spine) disrupt neurological communications between your brain and the cells, tissues, and organs of the body. Chiropractors correct these misalignments by gently adjusting the position of the vertebrae of the spine, reducing or eliminating neuropathy (changes in the pathology of the nerves) thus allowing your body to properly self-regulate, adapt and heal.

Relief Care

As a new patient, you obviously have pain or concerns that need to be addressed promptly. At first you may need to visit our office two or three times weekly, this will allow for concentrated treatments to reduce or eliminate the symptoms that are occurring. This phase of chiropractic care is considered the Relief Care Phase.

Many people go about their daily lives pain-free and without any symptoms believing they are healthy, the truth is sometimes pain alone is not the indicator that something is wrong. Many health conditions have no symptoms whatsoever but can be very serious conditions, such as, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, etc.

Spinal problems are one of the few conditions that will generally be accompanied with pain as a first symptom, and can be reduced or eliminated through chiropractic treatments.

Corrective Care

After receiving Relief Care and eliminating or reducing your symptoms, some may believe there is no need for further treatments, actually the Corrective Care phase is a very important step needed to restore, heal, and prevent symptoms from recurring. Your condition will determine the amount of treatments needed to complete the healing process. To help improve and accelerate the healing process you can perform certain exercises at the clinic, or in the comfort of your own home.

This phase could take a few months or more depending on the seriousness of your condition. Soreness or flare-ups may occur and are completely normal.

Wellness Care

Now that you are healed and feel better than ever, routine chiropractic care will help to ensure that this feeling will never fade away. A program including regular adjustments, exercise, and a healthy diet will help ensure the health of your musculoskeletal system.

The Wellness Care phase will give you the benefit of living life to the fullest.
Children also benefit from regular spinal exams!

It seems children never run out of energy, they go all day long running, jumping, and playing hard. Sometimes all this physical activity puts stress on the spinal nerves; this may lead to lowering a child’s resistance and open the door for many illnesses.

The slightest misalignment can cause a child to suffer from adult type problems, such as headaches, back pain, poor concentration, irritability, etc. and for many, a simple, painless spinal exam will allow your Chiropractor to find, and treat if necessary any misalignments.

Chiropractic Care for children is much more than just spinal exams. Your Chiropractor can also examine and monitor the growth of your child’s body, address important nutritional needs, offer correct exercise programs, and help to prepare your child for a healthy adulthood.

Fibromyalgia

The Basics of Fibromyalgia

Modern research indicates fibromyalgia is a stress-related condition—a cousin of sorts to Systemic Lupus Erythematosis (often referred to as simply ‘lupus’) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. In all three conditions possess the same predominantly female distribution, chronic fatigue, sleep disturbances, irritable bowel, as well as many other similarities. All three are also known to result from an abnormal stress response in the body. With Lupus, however, it is the immune system that is primarily affected, causing an auto immune reaction which attacks your healthy tissues. With fibromyalgia, metabolic abnormalities are the primary concern. These metabolic changes are the result of a stress-induced decrease in blood flow to an area of the brain called the pituitary. This in turn causes a decrease in a number of vital hormones, such as the growth-releasing hormone (somatotropin) and the thyroid-stimulating hormone. These hormonal changes lead to abnormal muscle healing, borderline or full-blown hypothyroid, and memory and cognitive changes.

One of the major physical abnormalities with fibromyalgia lies in the muscle itself, with a buildup of a protein called “Ground Substance.” Normally found in muscle, bone and connective tissue all over the body, Ground Substance is responsible for tissue strength and is less susceptible to tearing. In a normal person, when a muscle is injured, the muscle tissue itself is able to regenerate and, over time, completely heal itself. In a person with fibromyalgia, the muscle is unable to heal. Instead, an abnormally large amount of Ground Substance builds up in the injured area. It is this Ground Substance, coupled with local muscle spasms, that creates the muscle ‘knots’ associated with fibromyalgia.

A number of tests can rule out other disorders. Our thorough examination will reveal whether a person has the characteristic tender areas on the back of the neck, shoulders, sternum, lower back, hips, shins, elbows or knees. Unlike its cousin lupus, there are currently no diagnostic laboratory tests for fibromyalgia. Thus, some doctors unfortunately conclude that a patient’s pain is not real, or that very little can be done.

With HealthWorks Wellness, this is not always the case. A combination of chiropractic, trigger point therapy and lifestyle changes has proven to be very effective in not only decreasing the severity and duration of physical pain, but also the disability of fibromyalgia.
